ANATOLIKI s.a. is the Development Agency of Eastern Thessaloniki, established in 1995 according to the Greek Legal Framework for the Local Authorities. According to the guidelines of the Agenda of the 21st Century, Local Authorities of Eastern Thessaloniki and Halkidiki elaborated an integrated sustainable development plan, for the realization of which, the establishment of Anatoliki s.a. is an essential tool. The legal status of ANATOLIKI sa is Anonym Society, recognized as Public Equivalent Body.
Shareholders of ANATOLIKI s.a. is constituted by 69.44% Local Authorities (22 Municipalities in Thessaloniki and Halkidiki Prefectures), the Prefectural Authority of Thessaloniki with a percentage of 11.61%, and finally with a percentage of 18.95% by SME’s Chamber (Chamber of Small and Medium Industries of Thessaloniki), the Professional Chamber of Thessaloniki, Associations and Co-Operatives located in Eastern Thessaloniki.
The agency manages and implements the necessary actions for the success of the following goals:
I. Exploitation of human resources, labor market integration and mobilisation of human factor.
II. Promoting an integrated economic, social and cultural development of the region by enchancing, exploiting and protecting natural resources, through:
- cooperation between public, private and social sector,
- development - implementation of new production facilities and improving the efficiency of production units
- strengthening initiatives to ensure the protection of the environment, promote energy conservation and the use of renewable sources of energy, contributing to the introduction of innovative methods in the development process in the region
