The South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency Nonprofit LTD.
Background
Based on its achievements in the field of regional innovation, the South Transdanubian Regional Development Agency (STRDA) - in collaboration with other innovation support organisations - established the Regional Innovation Agency Nonprofit Ltd. (STRIA) in 2008.
Aims
The main aims of the STRIA are to improve the innovation capacity of the regional SMEs, to support the technology transfer activities of the knowledge bases and to foster the international knowledge exchange. The STRIA aims at establishing a regional umbrella organization based on the synergic operation of its founders. The main policy of the Agency is to provide real added value compared to the currently operating innovation support system by ensuring quality consultancy services for the regional SMEs. This way STRIA will assure a stable and increasing clientele, and an extensive international network.

Networking:
- Initiation and implementation of international and interregional innovation projects – especially FP7 and INTERREG IV Programmes, partner search
- Networking with national and transnational organisations
- Elaborating new forms of co-operation, cluster development
- Developing the services of industry parks, incubators and innovation centres
Developing and operating the regional innovation database:
- Exploring the exploitable regional R&D results and RTD services of the knowledge bases
- Pooling and transmission of RTD results
- Virtual innovation marketplace: unified database of supply and demand of products and services
Training activities:
- Organisation of innovation management- and industry specific trainings,
Regional planning and programme monitoring
- Subcontractor for the Regional Development Agency in the field of regional innovation support programmes
- Elaboration of innovation analysis and regional innovation strategies
Consultancy – market utilization of innovative R&D:
- Innovation audit, assessment and elaboration of innovative project ideas, professional innovation consultancy for SMEs
- Venture capital intermediation
- Financial consultation, elaboration of market plans, managing the application for grants, marketing services IPR consultancy, technology transfer services
- Start-up venture, incubation, enterprise development services
